Inactivity

There's been a lot of inactivity lately which has caused some members to leave because well, the guild's just dry.

The guild needs a rule on inactivity (Kicked out after a set amount of days due to being inactive) Unless they've posted that they will be inactive on the forums or have informed a master/sub-master.

I reckon we should promote the guild more and recruit players that are more social, helpful and just fun in general '-' rather than random players that join the guild and stay forever alone.

Just a suggestion.

Well then after I get out Friday I will be even more talkative in the chat!

I have not been very talkative compared to how much I could be even when I was active as well I wanted to get caught up to you guys as fast as I can to be actually helpful to the newer members who would be lower level then me. And I also try to a be very fun person. So that would not be a problem.

Though I am wondering. Who quit the guild? Hope it was no one I met in the time that I joined. Sad

Well, I looked at the logs and a lot of people quit within the same day.

One assumption would be that the people formed their own guild, however, it didn't seem like they had much of a relation between one another.

Orrrrr another reason could be because they know the guild isnt that high ranked =p i know back in DigiDestined which was at the time rank 40 or 50. Most of the members would join and rarely leave. =P If you joined some guild that was rank 19 you'd have a better feeling of wanting to stay and a feeling of not being able to find a better guild if you left as opposed to a guild that's rank 210 with you thinking that it might be a noobie guild and might not grow to be as powerful as one of the top 50.

we talk alot in the guild and anyone is free to join in but new ppl are gonna assume we're not active that much because of rank even if we do have a few high lv. tamers

getting ppl to stay in a low ranked guild is hard cause you have to win them over the first few days they're there, otherwise they'll join another guild that has a cooler name or something

and there's the problem of just plain inactive players =p all the more active ones join higher ranked guilds, ppl with alternate chars are more likely to put their alts in low ranked guilds

Thanks for bringing the up QNal. I'm all for weening out the inactive members, as that's what I did when we were in DigiDestined. The reason why I've bee hesitant in doing so in the new (and better !) guild is that we are still fresh.

If you think about it... We have gone up over 250 spots in the ranking system in 2-3 weeks, which I think is awesome! We have our core group that have joined us in the new guild and that followed us in the transfer from the old guild, I was leaving a buffer for any of the old members to transfer over as well, which I have given up on since it's been some time.

Anyways... Dragging on now lol. I have bumped a few inactive members today before even seeing this lol, and will do so from now on if Taichi and I see fit (dependant on the member and their history). You will also be happy to know you will see an almost full guild list next time you log in Smile

I was giving it all a few weeks for the transfer to settle in, but now that we are on our way don't worry, we will be keeping an eye on things Smile

There is an AFK thread in the guild section now for people who will be taking an extended afk from the game.

I want that to be the main area for people to let us know if they arent going to be around for a while (other than letting Taichi or I know personally, which is fine). I'm only on at night so that thread is a good spot for me to recall who is around and whos not... On that point, we are already monitoring inactive members who's guild points are insignificant and taking action Smile
